Deepnanda Ray, Project Coordinator, Project E-QUAL, Jadavpur University, did her BTech in Electrical Engineering, ME in Multimedia Development and MBA in HR. She started her career with Jadavpur University as a Research Scholar in a European Union Project (Project WebOpt) and after a short stint as Lecturer in Asansol Engineering College, Dept. of CSE and IT, she moved on to Bangalore, to take up a position with Infosys, for its Universal Banking Solution, Finacle, and later with Torry Harris Business Solutions, where she was a key contributor in setting up the Banking Centre of Excellence and Business Process Management Practice and has also served as the Partnership and Alliance Manager. After almost a decade long career in the IT industry in software development, consultancy and managerial roles, spanning different domains and technical platforms, with both Indian and foreign clients, she has chosen to move back to her hometown, Kolkata and her alma mater, Jadavpur University. Throughout her career she has had an active interest in education and research and has loved mentoring her junior teammates. At Infosys, she was at one point Chief Mentor to a trainee batch of freshers. A knowledge management enthusiast, she hopes that Project E-QUAL will make a difference to undergraduate education and the way it is perceived in India.
