Jaideep Chatterjee is Faculty Member, Project E-QUAL, Shiv Nadar University and member of the Joint Working Group in Cultural Studies. He is currently an Associate Professor of Anthropology and Design at Shiv Nadar University. An obsessive compulsive multi-disciplinarian, Jaideep was trained as an architect, a historian and an anthropologist. With doctorates in History of Art, Architecture and Urbanism and in Socio-cultural Anthropology from Cornell University, Jaideep’s academic enquiries traverse questions of design, visual culture, techno-politics, social formation of expertise, popular culture and nationalism. His research on architects, and design as a form of expertise and expert identity in postcolonial India has been published by prestigious academic presses worldwide. He has previously taught at several universities, including Cornell University and University of Cincinnati.
